Terms of Service

Last updated 2 August 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Paymantle website, applications and the products described on them (together, the "Service"). By opening an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Paymantle is a financial technology company, not a bank. Banking, payment and card services are provided by licensed, regulated partner institutions, and those partners' own terms also apply to the accounts and cards they issue.

2. Who you are contracting with

The Paymantle entity you contract with, its registered details and the law governing your agreement depend on your country of residence. These are presented to you during account opening and are available at any time on request from hello@paymantle.com.

3. Eligibility and verification

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into a contract. Before you can use the Service we must verify your identity and, for business accounts, the identity of beneficial owners and controllers. These checks are required by anti-money-laundering law and are carried out with the help of third-party providers. Availability varies by country, and we may be unable to give reasons for declining an application where the law prevents us from doing so.

4. Your account and security

You are responsible for keeping your credentials, devices and authentication factors secure, and for activity carried out through your account. Tell us without undue delay if you suspect unauthorised access, or if a device or card is lost or stolen, so we can freeze the account or card. Do not share access with anyone else.

5. Accounts and balances

Multi-currency accounts let you hold balances in supported currencies and receive payments using local account details issued in your name by our partner institutions. Balances are held with regulated partner institutions, safeguarded and kept separate from our own funds. Balances are not bank deposits, and do not earn interest unless you choose to use Earn.

6. Cards

Cards are issued by our partner issuers and draw on the balance in your account. Spending is limited to your available balance; no credit is provided. Card availability, issuance fees and limits vary by plan and country. We may decline, freeze or cancel a card where required for security, legal or card-scheme reasons.

7. Currency conversion

Where a payment requires conversion, the exchange rate and the conversion fee are shown to you before you confirm. Exchange rates move continuously, and a quoted rate is valid only for the period stated at the time it is given.

8. Earn

Earn is available on stablecoin balances only — USDC and USDT. Fiat balances are not eligible. Rates are variable and not guaranteed, and are shown with their term and minimum before you commit. Amounts placed on a fixed term cannot be withdrawn before that term ends. Earn carries crypto-asset risk: a stablecoin may deviate from its intended value and you may get back less than you placed. Earn balances are not deposits and are not covered by any deposit-protection or investor-compensation scheme.

9. Fees

The fees that apply to your plan — including subscription, deposit, payout, card issuance and reload, and conversion fees — are set out on our pricing page and shown before you confirm a transaction. We will give advance notice of material changes to fees where applicable law requires it.

10. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service unlawfully, or to facilitate fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing or sanctions evasion, or for any activity we have told you is prohibited. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, interfere with its operation, or use it on behalf of another person without our agreement.

11. Suspension, restriction and closure

We may suspend, restrict or close an account or card where the law or a partner institution requires it, where we reasonably suspect fraud or unlawful use, or where you materially breach these Terms. Where we are permitted to, we will tell you and explain why. You may close your account at any time; we will return any remaining balance once outstanding transactions and any legally required checks are complete.

12. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for loss of profit or business, or for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. The Service is provided without warranties other than those implied by law which cannot be excluded.

13. Changes to these terms

We may change these Terms — for example to reflect changes in law, in our partners, or in the Service. We will publish the current version here and, where a change is material or the law requires it, give advance notice. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it.

14. Complaints

If something goes wrong, contact us at hello@paymantle.com. We will acknowledge your complaint and work to resolve it. Where a partner institution provides the underlying service we will pass the complaint to them and tell you when we have. If we cannot resolve it between us, you may have the right to refer the matter to the relevant ombudsman or regulator in your country.
