Privacy Policy

Last updated 2 August 2026

1. Who we are and what this covers

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Paymantle collects, why we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. It covers our website, applications and the products described on them. Where a partner institution is the controller of data it processes to provide banking or card services, that partner's own privacy notice also applies.

2. Data we collect

We collect information you give us, such as your name, date of birth, nationality, address, contact details, identity documents and, for business accounts, ownership and control information. We collect information generated by your use of the Service, such as transactions, balances, card activity, device and log data. We also receive information from identity-verification, sanctions-screening and fraud-prevention providers.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

We use personal data to provide and operate the Service under our contract with you; to meet legal obligations including identity verification, anti-money-laundering, sanctions screening, tax and record-keeping requirements; and for our legitimate interests in preventing fraud, securing the Service and improving our products. Where we rely on consent, such as for optional marketing, you can withdraw it at any time.

4. Identity checks and automated processing

To meet our legal obligations we run automated checks on applications and transactions, including sanctions and politically-exposed-person screening and fraud scoring. These checks can result in an application being declined or a payment being delayed or blocked. Where a decision has a significant effect on you and is taken solely by automated means, you may ask for it to be reviewed by a person.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal data with regulated partner institutions, card issuers and payment networks that deliver parts of the Service; with service providers who work on our behalf under contract, such as identity verification, cloud hosting, communications and analytics; and with courts, regulators and law-enforcement bodies where we are legally required to. We do not sell personal data.

6. International transfers

We operate across borders, so personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than the one you live in. Where we transfer data outside your jurisdiction we rely on legally recognised safeguards, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses, and take steps to ensure the data continues to be protected.

7. How long we keep it

We keep personal data for as long as you hold an account, and after closure for as long as required by law — for anti-money-laundering and financial record-keeping obligations this is typically at least five years from the end of the relationship. Where data is no longer needed we delete it or anonymise it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request deletion, to object to or restrict certain processing, to receive your data in a portable form, and to withdraw consent. Some rights are limited where we must keep data to meet legal obligations. To exercise any of these, contact hello@paymantle.com.

9. Security

We protect personal data with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls on a need-to-know basis, monitoring, and regular review of our providers. No system is completely secure, so we also rely on you to protect your credentials and to tell us promptly about anything suspicious.

10. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies on our website. What they do and how to control them is set out in our Cookie Policy.

11. Children

The Service is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the Service, our providers or the law. The current version is always published here, and we will give notice where a change is material.

13. Contact and complaints

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact hello@paymantle.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.
